theme: OPEN HEARTS
In our current political climate of polarization, anxiety and fear for our well being, we are also intensely aware that we live in a beautiful place and are
surrounded by people we love.
Our challenge was to look within and create a visual expression of the place where our negative and positive meet.

Origin of show:
This is the second gallery show put together by SevenSisters, a group of seven women artists including Nancy Simpson, Mickey Fernandez and
Nan Trichler from Willits, and Esther Siegel, Elizabeth Raybee, Julie Beardsley and Laura Fogg from the Ukiah area. We have continued to meet regularly during the year since our first group show at the
Willits Center for the Arts... to share our heart-felt cooking, art and opinions about the state of the world. With all that creativity and social consciousness in the air it was a natural move to put another show on the wall. Through our varied media of mosaic, beading, painting, collage, assemblage and quilting we find that we have a lot to say.
