The works of Don Pagano and Michael Layborn, both former members of the Corner Gallery, will be on display from August 2nd through August 31st. Both Don and Michael passed away during this last year. 

 

Don loved painting every day and said painting was his secret to longevity. One of his accomplishments was his ability to paint every day until he passed away at age 96. Don was a longtime member of the Ukiah Valley Artist Association and was an active Corner Gallery member for three years at its beginning.  

 

Michael was interested in art from an early age.  He studied art in high school with his friends, Bob Hudson and William Wiley.  He continued studying art in college in Arizona and later in Mexico.  His eye for art had a positive influence on his work at Faralones Designs in Berkley and later at Mariposa School and Mendocino Brewing in Ukiah.   His works include paintings, abstract sculptures, and photography.
