I have studied painting during college years at Stanford and since graduating in 1961. While following my husband during his career in the Marine Corps, I have been able to take classes in many places, beginning with oil painting in Hawaii. Later I worked in watercolor and pastels with Peter Egli in Maryland, then traveled to Nevada where I did more in watercolor. During a tour in Japan I was able to study Sumie painting and some painting on silk. More recently I worked with Nancy Greenberg in California and Sidney Teske in Nevada. In the last three years I have done workshops with Susan Ogilvie and Teresa Saia in pastels in La Conner, Washington, which has inspired me to concentrate on landscapes of the Northwest.
