A quick look at the front windows
Corner Gallery Ukiah

Karen Wallaert is the featured artist in the front windows of the Corner Gallery for the month of September. She is a returning artist, but she has a different perspective on this year’s show and is excited to hang a few new pieces. She explains, “I want to show a variety of different things that have spoken to me over the past year or two. One is a statement piece… it’s realism with a message. It’s a magnolia with garbage on it.” Karen’s other work is mostly in oil and acrylic.
As she did last year, Karen has invited one of her private art students to share her space in the gallery’s front windows. This year it will be Annie Bouillerce, who is sixteen years old and a straight A student at the Redwood Academy in Ukiah. Karen describes Annie as “a very astute artist who like realism with a little twist.”
